User Identification Based on Foot Pressure Profile

Abto Software’s team has developed a unique application for our Dutch customer. Remarkably, it allows to identify a person only on the basis of his/her foot pressure profile. The data of the person to be identified has to be aggregated in a calibration stage beforehand.

The software we developed consists of two major parts:

• data acquisition part;
• application for data analysis.

Within the data acquisition phase the interaction with piezoelectric pressure sensors positioned in tiles is conducted. When a human steps on a tile the data signals are generated by the sensors, collected by a microcontroller and passed to a UNIX application for storage.

The sophisticated software developed by Abto is able to obtain the collected data in real time and make a prediction on the identity of the person on the tile.
