Trekking on the Paths of Heroes

Active living is one of the basics of Abto Software corporate philosophy. Any sports extending form yoga to football, from dances to boxing, just name it – we are already in.

11 our colleagues took part in the ХVIII Paths of Heroes trekking competition in the Carpathians. The yearly event is organized by PLAST – a Ukrainian scouting organization. It aims at engaging young generation in sports and active tourism. The participants have to combine hiking skills with the fulfilment of technical tasks.

Our 2 teams HTTP та HTTPS covered a distance of 80 km climbing the snowy hills and enjoying sunny valleys. The hike was a really exciting experience for everybody. They tested their survival skills in nature, tried their limits. But as they say, the best part of the whole trip is a feeling of a real team and communication beside work, the realization that the goal is always a step further.

Both Abto teams achieved great results. They covered a difficult distance in almost 3 days and reached a total height of 6900 m. Despite exhaustion, lack of drinking water and other mountain hazards, they made it to the finish. We are very proud of them!

Abto Software was the only IT Company out of more than 20 participants in the competition. We proved it again that we are a team of motivated professionals capable of remarkable achievements.
